Led by Dreams
A downloadable journaling game
The dream is gone…
…the dreamer is awake…
…but you remain.
Wandering through the endless darkness filled with the remnants of all the lost Dreams and Nightmares, echoes of all that once was, which are now lost in this void and became the very substance in which they seek to wander.
The endless In-between.
But this time, something is different. This last dream has awoken something inside of you. Something you have forgotten in your constant wandering through the In-between. Something that has been slumbering for a seemingly endless amount of time.
Have you always been a nightmare?
Did you used to be something else?
What was the you that once was?
Can you leave the current you?
Can you find the one you once were,
or become something new?
How far would you go for this?
How much would you risk?
Could these dreams hold the answers?
What is this?
Led by Dreams is a solo journaling game about a Nightmare and their search for dreams in the endless void of the In-between. They are torn between learning from the dreams and changing, or turning dreams into nightmares in order to regain strength and avoid perishing.
! Caution !
This game deals with nightmares and what causes them, the struggle with mortality and morality, but also transformations of oneself and the vulnerability that comes with change. If gameplay becomes overwhelming or too uncomfortable, you should stop immediately. Seek comfort in other things or people. This is just a game and it is not nearly as important as your well-being. Ignore the game, but not your innermost feelings.
Thanks to Moss Bosch for proofreading and sensitive reading. Highly recommended.
